CHARLOTTE CHASE
Charlotte Chase is a spiritual medium and she lives in an Elizabethan manor house in Cornwall with her two Newfoundland dogs, Fritz and Freya. Because of her abilities to see and often speak to spirits, she is uniquely placed to help the local police with crimes and enquiries.
In our first tale, Charlotte has inherited the house and grounds from her Aunt and has left London, her television show and her increasingly unhappy marriage to move to Cornwall.
There are many ghosts in her new house, it being 500 years old, and even more in the castle ruins at the end of the garden. But they are either friendly or oblivious, so they don't bother Charlotte or her dogs. Occasionally, though, a recently passed spirit will visit to tell her something important about a crime that is being investigated by Charlotte's friend, Detective Sergeant Paul Middleton.
